Reviewer Training

Welcome to the CTEE Reviewer Induction training page. This page has been designed to introduce new reviewers to the APHEA CTEE accreditation processes.

To continue we ask that you:

  1. Watch 6 short videos (under 14 minutes in total)
  2. Complete 2 exercises on your own
  3. Attend a short video conference with the secretariat and /or Board of Accreditation.

The videos can be expanded and subtitles turned off in player. All videos are 1080 HD but may take a few seconds to load properly.

STEP 7: Video conference

At the beginning of your training the APHEA secretariat will be in touch to arrange a video-conference by either, skype, telephone or zoom. Please ensure that all activities have been undertaken by the time of the conference and also to make a note of questions you may need answering.

Target Group

Prospective APHEA CTEE Reviewers

Aim

To familiarize new reviewers to the APHEA CTEE review process in order that they feel comfortable in independently undertaking their reviews

Outcomes

At the end of the exercise participants will be able to:

  1. Understand the process
  2. Where to find the documentation
  3. Able to complete documentation
  4. Know what to do if stuck

Objectives

Introduce new reviewers to the:

  1. CTEE Accreditation Process
  2. Documentation required to run the process
  3. Ethos of APHEA
  4. Self-test exercises to calibrate responses

Activities

Asynchronous (circa 20 minutes):
a. Watch small induction videos
b. Complete 2 exercises independently

Synchronous (circa 45 minutes):
a. b. Meet other reviewers and / or APHEA team and have questions answered

Assessment and reflection

No prescribed assessment is attached however, prospective reviewers will be asked to reflect on the self-test exercises and their responses and to raise any questions during the subsequent virtual meeting.

Evaluation

Informal evaluation requested as part of exercise (see top section).

Any comments on this web page will be taken into account by the secretariat and Chair of the Board of Accreditation.

Any recommendations for change in the process will be sent to the Board of Accreditation for review.

Changes in Criteria will require, a) agreement by the Board of Accreditation, b) endorsement by the Board of Directors and c) ratification by the General Assembly.

Feedback will always be provided on changes made as a result of recommendations.
